Welcome to the Colombo School of Construction Technology website. The Colombo School of Construction Technology (CSCT) is a modern and dynamic educational institution providing high quality courses, at pre-University level, in an environment which encourages students to achieve excellence in their studies. Quality teaching, outstanding facilities and academic and welfare support services for all.

At CSCT, we take pride in the broad range and high quality of our teaching programs. Our teaching gains strength and currency from our staff and management who are some of the key personnel in the Industry here in Sri Lanka and overseas as well.

Established in 2008, CSCT embarked on providing quality education in the Construction Industry field by providing BTEC Higher National Diplomas accredited by EDEXCEL International of UK. Upon completion student can either enter lucrative career path or transfer to continue to complete a B.Sc in a University in United Kingdom. Students can now also register for a Bachelor of Science in QS awarded by the UOS.


There are many advantages for students who choose to study at CSCT over other Institutes in Sri Lanka. The ability to fast-track, the smaller class sizes at CSCT compared to other institutes; the excellent facilities make the decision of where to study an easy choice!

Our courses are taught by professionals who have an academically sound back ground while still maintaining contact with the industry.

CSCT academic programs are guided by Professor Chitra Weddikkara and Dr Rameezdeen both industry experts with more than 20 years experience in academic and in the construction industry. These two professionals will impart their knowledge and experience during the course of your academic career at CSCT. At CSCT we firmly believe in the importance keeping up to date with state of the art practices and innovations in the construction industry. As such we do not employ any staff who does not have that close link to the dynamic nature of the construction industry.

Lecture groups have a maximum of 50 students, although most average between 30-40 students. Lectures are complemented by small group tutorials/workshops ensuring students receive the best of attention. A special program of English and academic studies have been developed for those students who require a little additional help.
